Zakopane with its surroundings boasts breathtaking views and lush unspoilt nature. Now easily accessible, Zakopane was separated from the rest of Poland by impenetrable forests

We recommend rock-climbing under the supervision of an instruc-tor for the adrenalin-thirsty guests and a raft .oatontheDunajec or a cable car ride to Kasprowy Wierch for those who seek be-autiful views. Mountain bikes can be used practically anywhere including the least travelled roads and paths in the area.

In winter it is best to use skis or snowmobiles or avail oneself of the very popular horse-drawn highlander sleighs.

Winter wonderland
Welcome to the most popular winter resort in Poland and  the ‘winter capital of Poland’. Zakopane  is located at the foot of the Tatra Mountains. With the highest and the only Alpine type mountains in this part of Europe in the backdrop, Zakopane boasts beautiful winter scenery in its unspoilt form. Spectacular views of the mountains are completed by the quaint local architecture in its unique style that gives the town and the surrounding villages its unforgettable character. The endemic folklore is very much alive and visible everywhere, including the pedestranised main street with numerous restaurants, bars and pubs.

Skis
Zakopane offers skiing opportunities for skiers of all levels and ambitions. But the  rich infrastructure of slopes and  ski lifts is particularly well  suited for medium advanced skiers as they will be really spoilt for choice here. There are numerous slopes and lifts in town and its outskirts, in the surrounding villages and in the Tatras themselves.

Family holidays
With its winter wonderland ambiance and the ample skiing infrastructure for beginning skiers Zakopane appears to be best suited for families that wish to ski together or for parents that would like to see their children make their first steps in skiing.  English language ski schools offer comprehensive and tailor-made services. Each slope has its own catering infrastructure and there is the high street with its restaurants. Dinner at a folklore restaurant with highlander music is a nice option for an evening. Nobody can miss a tour of the area in its winter scenery, a sleigh ride with torches and barbecue at a bonfire, a walk or sleight ride in one of the easily accessible Tatra valleys, or a snowmobile ride. There is a wide range of hotels for all budgets is available. Spa and aqua centre services are offered with swimming pools, saunas and treatments. Talking about water pleasures – there are several aqua parks with thermal waters just 1-2 hours away in the neighbouring Slovakia (have you ever had a dip in comfortably warm water with snow a couple of metres away?). One must go and visit that interesting country next door anyway as there is so much to see there.
